In an attempt to get us back to the movie action I submit a clip from one of my favorite films:

Yeah! But I guess unless I specifically use the alleged triggering language, you (and everyone else) will never know! That being said, I think @splendorr has the answers though. I am still hoping to be corrected. Shit, I am still looking for any answer (in general)!

Jesus, I have already spent too much time on this by just reading that. A few sentences asking about mansplaining really disrupting things for you @splendorr? Tho I guess you're right. I should have been more sensitive than speaking my mind about some made-up word. I'll do better next time. I am glad you know how to be a better dude. Congratulations. I wish I could be. Will you help me? Please share with me your advice. I would like to be better dude. I want to make sure that nothing I do rubs someone the wrong way or makes them think about their own decisions. I am with you. I want to make this world a better place. A safer place. People should be free to express themselves. Can you correct me please?

I don't think I was asking for a translation of what was meant by dear old Trix. I know what she meant, and I think she is right. Some people are pigs. Power corrupts, absolutely. It's not a sex or gender thing unfortunately. But Coke, metaphorically, says it is and so I guess that is what everyone will keep drinking.

Trix, will you marry me (re: your sentiment about Wonder Dumpy aka Wonder Woman)?

To add gas to this flame, and Trix I love you, but I don't think women make different or better movies than men because of their sex, or their gender. Katheryn Bigelow doesn't make movies because she's a woman. She makes damn hellass incredible films because she is a damn hellass beast of a genius, ya dig? We are all free to create what we think we want to create, barring all levels of supposed mind control and societal pressure. We (humans) didn't get here because we gave into intimidation in it's many violent and villainous forms. Like, you are either going to make something interesting because, as a human, you are going to do it. I really am disheartened how people want to boil down their personality to one terse "identity" that somehow informs them in this guiding way. In fact, I will go as far to say, in a rather confrontational manner, that's bullshit. Yet, America (the world/its prisoners) wants to eat nothing but bullshit 24/7, 9 days a week. this one goes out to Kerwin... CHANGE MY MIND

He right. Gave me my first son that movie! Also Quantum rules. Sorry y'all. Casino Royale is so good it technically doesn't qualify as a bond film. Sorrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyy

@swampfriend That car chase is the only reason the bluray sits on my shelf. It is one of the best looking, fastest feeling, loudest sounding car chases. It is as over the top cartoonish as it is devilishly bloodthirsty. I am wounded by the 'can't name one thing about it' comment. I thought you better equipped to understand that if you notice a scene of an otherwise cohesive film is lacking some sort of reality relevant to the core of the plot/specific character that it may be a placeholder of a different variety. It's purpose is more fun than exposition! In the case of this car chase, to me it acts as a few things. But most importantly the chase exhibits, visually, the entire story arch of the film we are about to see. Which, yes, is pretty basic: Bond Gets His Man. I believe there is more nuance about it, but, more enjoyably, the chase doubles as a new and inspired 'original opening'. You know, the opening where bond is just strolling. Then, without warning or hesitation he turns to shoot, well, us. Quantum gives us a new gritty opening in the new gritty Bond reboot world, but instead of cheekily pointing it out, the scene decides to delve into the basic principle of the fastest, cleanest, duty-bound draw. It's nearly a British-Western man!!! The film continues on in this vein with a rather subdued and quiet Bond. He's a British cowboy! The same sentiment is echoed scenes later in the belltower/scaffolding fight. It's all there baby. It's aesthetically pure! But, yeah, that cowboy stuff is a stretch to some degree. I could make a case for it but I need to revisit. Though I usually just slap that disc in to watch the opening car chase. OH! It's also one helluva commercial too!
